A Drawing Your Contractor Can Build From Directly
Gradients, junctions, and materials set out so nothing is left to be worked out on site.
← HomeThe Promise
You'll receive a scaled drawing that a competent contractor — or an experienced owner — can build from without needing to guess at spacing, fall, or pipe size. Every dimension that matters to a working drainage system is stated on the page.
The Problem
You already know the plot needs drainage — perhaps a survey confirmed it, or the standing water speaks for itself. What's missing is a plan precise enough to hand to someone and trust the result. Without stated gradients and junction positions, even a willing contractor ends up estimating, and estimation is where drainage runs most often fail.
The Solution
Working from survey data you already hold, or from our own site visit, we draft a layout covering up to 1,000 square metres and 180 linear metres of pipe. The drawing sets out lateral spacing based on measured soil permeability, pipe diameter per run, gradients expressed in millimetres of fall per metre, junction positions, inspection chamber locations, and the discharge point with its receiving capacity. Gravel surround dimensions and geotextile wrap specification are stated for each trench section.
The Experience
Once we have your survey data, drafting begins and you'll be kept informed of turnaround. We're happy to walk through the drawing with you before it goes to a contractor, so any question about sequencing or access is settled in advance rather than mid-dig.
The Investment
What's included: a scaled plan drawing and two cross-sections, a materials schedule with quantities, a trenching sequence that accounts for working access, and notes on common pitfalls — the most frequent being a discharge point set too high, worth confirming before any digging begins. Covers one plot up to 180 linear metres of pipe.
The Proof
Gradients are calculated, not eyeballed, using the fall required over the given run length. Spacing follows from measured infiltration rather than a fixed rule of thumb, which is why the same layout method holds up across very different soil types.
The Guarantee
If something in the drawing is unclear once your contractor reviews it, we're available to clarify at no extra charge. The plan is meant to be usable, and we stand behind that.
Next Steps
Send us your survey notes if you have them, or ask about pairing this with our Site Water Movement Survey first. We'll confirm scope and get drafting underway.
