Levels, Pits and Photographs
A site water movement survey produces spot levels across the plot, a log for each test pit dug to around 600mm, infiltration readings and photographs of standing water. These describe the ground, but because they are filed against your name and the property address they are handled as personal information under Japan's APPI.
Why We Keep Them
Records are kept so that a pipe layout plan can be drawn from measured data, and so that a later visit, after a wet season or once work is finished, can be compared with the first reading.
Sharing a Drawing
Layout drawings and materials schedules are prepared for you. If you ask us to send them to a contractor, we send only the documents you name, to the address you give us. We do not pass client details to contractors, pipe suppliers or geotextile manufacturers for any other purpose.
Neighbouring Land
Where water arrives from a neighbouring plot, a survey note may describe that land in general terms. We do not record the names of neighbours.
Enquiries that do not lead to a visit are deleted after twelve months. Survey records, drawings and the correspondence about a completed job are kept for five years, since drainage problems often return on a longer cycle than a single season. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
To access, correct, stop the use of or delete your information, write to info@miremeshvault.com, call +81 45 401 8630, or post a letter to Mire Mesh Vault, 7-3-29 Kikuna, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa 222-0011. We answer within two weeks. If our answer does not resolve the matter, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
Use of Site Photographs
Photographs taken during a survey are used in your report and kept with your records. They are never published on this website or shared for marketing without the owner's written consent.
Young Enquirers
Bookings are made by adults responsible for the property. If someone under eighteen contacts us, we ask a parent or guardian to arrange the visit.
